Walking to breakfast this morning I noticed that many mid-rise buildings have cell installations but are surrounded my much taller buildings. Perhaps the buildings do not block the signal (but if that’s the case, why do they look for maximum height in Newton?). Of perhaps they simply serve the people living and working in the office buildings with line of sight to the antenna. I suppose if buildings block transmissions it would make sense that you need antennas close to the ground to service pedestrians. A good reminder of the second rule: always look up.
